Site Visits in Miami

This past October, a group of girlfriends and I spent a long weekend at Mondrian South Beach and all thought it was ideal for a bachelorette bash. The pool parties at Mondrian are known to be the best; but even without the party, the pool was incredible and the bay + city skyline view will give you some of the most breathtaking sunsets you’ve ever seen.

Before our weekend celebration commenced, I needed to check out a few of the top hotels in South Beach for you all. I was thoroughly impressed! Keep reading and you’ll find out why:

Miami is ALWAYS a good idea
— Our matching bachelorette beach bags, of course.

1 Hotel South Beach

Entering into the lobby of 1 Hotel South Beach was like entering into the aesthetics of my dreams. My jaw hit the floor! Naturally, the hotel is a one-of-a-kind as it was designed using reclaimed materials from around the world. The rooms are light, airy, minimalistic retreats from the rush of a busy city. On the roof, a private pool and a full-service restaurant allows for an exclusive experience above the skyline — with a view to kill, of course. The restaurants, gym, and spa are all noteworthy, and the accumulation of every last detail of the hotel brings together a true masterpiece. I’ll be checking into this one myself sometime soon!

The W South Beach

You might think you’ve walked into a cutting-edge art gallery, but really you’re at The W South Beach. No really, I’m serious! The place has over $100 million in art within its walls, and if you’re a guest, you can even go on their daily afternoon art tour to see it all. The W South Beach is an iconic oasis right in the heart of South Beach, and each of its rooms offers magnificent views of the Atlantic ocean. If you check in, be sure and grab a bite at The Dutch: a classic American restaurant inspired by local cafes, seaside shacks, and the mix of cultural influences that make South Beach great. Delicioso!

Eden Roc

In the heart of the city and at the edge of the sea is exactly where you’ll find Eden Roc! Eden Roc is modern, comfortable, and would make the perfect home base for your time spent in Miami. If you’re a foodie, you’d like to know that the infamous Malibu Farm is right across the pool. Oh by the way, I’m here to report that their burger is absolutely mouth-watering. Eden Roc also shares a lobby (which remains in its original brilliant 1950s design) with Nobu, so you’re in close proximity to the also infamous Nobu restaurant and spa.

Nobu is, as you can imagine, the perfect collaboration of Japanese architecture, style, and contemporary beach house inspiration. At just two years old now, the hotel is newly renovated with rooms as spacious as they are zen. I’ve already mentioned Nobu’s infamous Japanese restaurant and spa on property, but did I mention the spa is the largest spa in all of Miami Beach? The spa alone is reason enough to visit this hotel!

Okay, so now you know what I mean when I say Miami has a great hotel scene. Want to research a few other top hotels in Miami? Click here.
