Site Visits in Barbados
The inaugural Millennial Travel Forum took place on the happy little island of Barbados, and BE The Travel was one of the 15 advisors and agencies chosen and vetted to attend the event. Barbados’ Tourism Board did an excellent job of showing us several reasons why travelers love the island — like Seaduced Catamaran dinner parties, the George Washington House, and Bushy Park go cart racing, just to name a few. However it was still clear we barely scratched the Bajan surface during our four days on the island!
The MTF Barbados crew also had the chance to inspect a handful of accommodations on the island, and we’ll tell you this: we found good things.
Everything that’s right about a boutique property is everything that is Treasure Beach. With 37 rooms, the resort is small enough to remain in a constant state of natural tranquility. You step outside of your room and have 3 options: step left to grab a rum punch at the beach bar, step forward to lay out by the pool, or step right and have the sand between your toes. There are no long hikes to restaurants or spas or cocktail hours here! The closely designed layout truly creates the most intimate feeling of pure paradise!
Sea Breeze Beach House
“We want something off the beaten path, but all inclusive.” A request we touched on at the MTF Round Table Discussion; one that is often heard, but mostly an oxymoron and hard to deliver. That’s why discovering properties like Sea Breeze Beach House is especially exciting! Sea Breeze is the definition of Barefoot Luxury, and a rare embodiment of that ‘all inclusive, but authentic and off the beaten path' request so often sought after. The adults only section offers seclusion for those traveling without children, while the main resort is happily family friendly. The food is delicious, the rooms are all newly renovated, and the views are something you just can’t capture in a photograph!
Sandy Lane Resort
If you’re looking for top notch luxury in Barbados, then look absolutely no further than Sandy Lane Resort. A Virtuoso resort deemed worthy of all five of its stars. The craftsmanship in the architecture is noteworthy alone, not to mention the beautiful blue Caribbean water to accent the pink decor the brand is known for. If you want to talk fabulous, then let’s talk Sandy Lane!
Book Sandy Lane with BE The Travel and receive the high standard of hospitality Virtuoso luxury brands are known for, and of course, these amenities:

One 60 minute Sandy Lane full body massage in the Spa one per room
A complimentary round of golf on the Country Club course including green fees and cart rental per room.

Sandy Lane Estate
The name says it all: this grande Estate is a branch off of the Sandy Lane brand, and is NEW to the travel market (so new that I had to use my own iPhone photo for this blog post — no professional photos are out yet!). Up to 10 people can rent this private Caribbean villa, which sits high above sea level, all while still enjoying the amenities at Sandy Lane Resort. Your stay at the Sandy Lane Estate includes a private chef, two housekeepers, and ultimate private luxury — all at the right price, too, I might add. This just might have been the favorite find in all of Barbados!
Another all inclusive found on the island! This family friendly resort (with optional adults only section) gives “ocean front” an entire new meaning — the outside restaurant seating practically hovers over the water! If you decide to visit The Waves, you’ll definitely want to check out the Ocean View Suites, since The Waves won best sunset views during the MTF Barbados Event! Or, at least we thought so!
The best thing about Barbados? There is honestly something for every type of traveler: luxury, leisure, adventure, wellness & relaxation, and the craziest (and definitely yummiest) cuisine ever. And as you can see, there is no shortage of accommodations to match travel personalities, either. A win-win! Everyone should visit Barbados, no one will regret it!
